This fan is equipped with a three pin connector, this connector can be connected to every computer main board that is sold, or to a speed control unit.
The third (yellow) wire, is for the data from the speed sensor. This data can be used for alarm functions.
If the fan does not function, the bios or speed control unit do not get any data and the bios or SCU can give a warning signal or text. With the fan you can take action in time to avoid any damage to the computer.
